Hello

Welcome to the website of Robinson Howell Partnership. We are a project management and consultancy firm specialising in arts and culture.

But what does that mean? We work in the arts, creative industries, (that’s arts and creative businesses working with ideas) and cultural regeneration, helping improve places and communities through arts initiatives. We work in both rural and urban contexts and with a wide range of people.

We believe in a ‘hands on’ approach to project management. We like to get stuck in and really understand the context in which we are working. We do policy & strategy development; evaluation; advocacy (making the case for the arts); we manage publications and consultation. We can help you find the best answers.

Previous clients have included communities, voluntary and statutory agencies.

We have commissioned plays, toured international artists, managed and delivered conferences, events and award ceremonies, developed bids, strategies, business plans and evaluation studies. We even edit the national magazine on participatory arts in the UK.

Current news:

New premises at last

We've finally moved into our fab new studio space.  For the past six months we've been camping on a building site. We are now located in our new bright and airy space which is part of a converted barn close to the centre of Blackburn.  With the help of Architects, Chadwick/Dryer we've created a creative and welcoming new place to work. We have a dedicated meeting space too.  Come and visit us soon.

Vancouver and rural touring

Sue was in Vancouver recently as an invited speaker at the Pacific Contact. An annual conference in British Columbia which brings together presenters, agents and artists to talk touring, and see showcased work. Sue took part in an international touring day, and, with a colleague Barbara Slack, from Highlights, enthused the Canadian delegates with the rural touring model in the UK, and our offer to Canadian artists.
